Forum: Editors/Reviewers Hangout

An old review I just read

I was cruising through a review of a Naked in School story, an older one I liked, and the reviewer liked too, Jonathon and Jackie by Dark Vision. The final sentence of the review said: "Now there are spelling and grammatical errors but bear with the author, he's a busy man, and rather prolific!"

My thought was shouldn't bear be bare?

Actually not.

The phrase is indeed "bear with me" meaning to be patient with me. "Bare with me" means "let's get undressed together.

But its a naked in school story. Some of the characters do get undressed together.

Sometimes reading this forum is a bear. Puns here can be nearly unbearable.

If it was "unbareable", then you'd have to put your pants back on. :)

I can barely bear these puns. Think I'll go watch the Cubs!
