Halloween Contest.

The boy walked up to the door of the house on Halloween Night, leading his horse Trigger as he walked. The boy was dressed in a Western costume. He rang the bell. A light on the porch came on and then the door opened. The person at the door said "And who are you?" The boy said, "I am Roy Rogers, Trigger Treat!"

Somewhere, recently I told someone on the Forum I can't write stories. I told the truth. I have ideas, some stranger than others. Sam and Janet evening, you will meet a stranger...

A young boy really wanted to scare the grownups for Halloween on year. He talked to his father about it and they planned and plotted. He finally went out dressed in a suit and tie carrying a briefcase with three letters on it embossed in gold.

The letters: I.R.S.

Sorry, but it works better as: "Sam and Janet Evening, you will ..." Making all the three puns part of their names extends the joke.

By the way, there are (is) certain writers who only post dirty jokes.

Whenever someone tells me they can't write a thing, I always think 'they just haven't found their story yet'. When I was young, I had no desire to write, and thus never studies English in college. However, most authors here are older individuals who came to writing while reading someone else's stories, and thinking, 'I can do better than this'.

You don't need to be a creative genius. All you need is to tell a particular story better, and it can be better writing, better story, interesting twists, different perspectives, alternate focus.

My favorite Halloween costume was always to dress in black, wear a cape (for protection) and cut the back out of my pants. Whenever someone asks who I am, I pull back the cape, turn around and declare "I'm a dark and stormy night!"

Needless to say, I didn't get invited to many Halloween parties!

Sounds like a good story, where can I read it? Is it one of Lazlo's?
