Hero realizing the economy is about to drop into the toilet, takes out a couple or 3 armoured cars and retires to remote farm country and sets up a commune. The only other detail I remember is that along the way he buys a whole lot of baking and cooking ingredients.

Thanks for the link. I glanced at it and decided to bookmark so I can go back and check them out after I finish a couple of stories I am reading now.
Did not have the story I was looking for, but did have other stories I am going to read.

Well I am always on the lookout for something to read. Sometimes its a good story others it just fails to appeal to me. Probably due to a combination of factors, mainly my own bad reactions (personal problem not the writer's fault).
