A neighboring country was once the home of a mighty empire, but it had fallen years ago. The protagonist is the last of the royal line and comes to claim his heritage. He proves his right by knowledge of ancient lore known only to royalty.
I want to say Ka Hamnd, but I have most of his stuff and can't find it there. Anyone else remember this one?
I have to apologize. Yes, it was 'Ori War'. I had just looked at the first part of the story, which I recognized as not being what I was looking for. I didn't realize that there were five related stories in that entry, and the fifth one was the one I was looking for. I finally found it when I tried some more keyword searches in 'Advanced Search'. It is amazing what you can find if you get the right keywords.
