Gems from NaNoWriMo

Bondi Beach

From the pep talk message I just received:

"Things that felt like desperate, random nonsense on page 72 (the broken pocket watch, a partially obscured tattoo, that taxidermied marmot on the mantelpiece) are suddenly important and meaningful on page 187."

Gotta figure out a way to get a taxidermied marmot into my story.

Was said taxidermied Marmot used in a sexual act? :P

If it was used in a sexual act, should that be coded as toys or bestiality?

I hope so.

Maybe it's a position out of the kama sutra.

BB,
We should be tranquil and thankful and proud, because we've been endowed with the internet: here's a page full of taxidermed marmots. https://www.google.com/search?q=taxidermied+marmot&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0CC0Q7AlqFQoTCM6H9qvN_MgCFUpeHgod__8HRw&biw=1280&bih=865

Such a reference means nothing because the number of images per line various with the size of the browser window, thus you need to identify via the number of photos it's in from the top left corner so we can all count from that point.

Most of them look a lot like Tax Office investigation staff.

At least one is a live cat.

The fox is kind of cute, but I'm more partial to the live cat. I like the "Marmots of ill repute," too.

I've already decided how the marmot is going to come into play in my NaNoWriMo novel, and it's going to be a key plot point.

I hate it when my jokes fall flat. Nobody seems to have picked up on the small fact that Groundhogs are one type of Marmots. :P

Groundhogs

Sorry, but I thought groundhogs were redneck bigots who didn't like flying, unless they were driving a pick-up truck at high speed on the highway while drunk.
