Is there anyone out there who knows more about the Air Transport Auxiliary than what's on the internet? Like, which ferry pools served which factory and so on. It's the details that make the story real. I don't suppose there are any veterans left, with the possible exception of cadets, as ATA disbanded 81 years ago this year. But if you have a father, mother uncle, aunt... whoever... who flew ferry flights in Britain during WW2 I'd like to hear from you.
I'm trying to write a prequel to 'Slipping the Surly Bonds'.
