I have completed a draft of the first novel-length work in the Light of Passion universe. I've come a long way in the year I've been writing fiction, and I'd like to thank the community of readers and authors here for helping me grow.
I'm proud of how Lover's Shadow is turning out. Like most of my work it's an exploration of vulnerability, openness and personal growth. I think there's some great sex thrown in too, although perhaps I'm biased.
I'm looking for an editor for the work. As I mentioned in a previous blog post, the editor who helped with my posted stories is unavailable. I found someone and they provided valuable feedback on the first three chapters. However, the world we live in today is not the world of openness and understanding of the worlds I write about. I wish them the best of luck in finding safety and calm in these troubled times.
I'd prefer to find someone who specifically enjoys my work, but I certainly am aware that SOL has great resources to find editors and I will reach out there if personal contacts and this blog post don't spark anything.
Regardless, I hope to be sharing the story within a month. Currently, it's 104,000 words, although that will presumably shrink somewhat in the revision process. I can't wait to hear people's reactions.
