Book never published on SOL

As many of you have heard, I have one book I've decided to withhold from SOL. I did this for two reasons, the book "The Nature of the Game" is a coming-of-age high school gay romance and I figured I already had enough 1-bombers, and I didn't actually think many of my loyal readers would be interested in the story.

However, on the off chance there are more than a couple of you interested, it's now posting on Tuesdays (yesterday) and Thursdays (tomorrow) on ASSTR. It deals with issues within the gay community over inclusion and acceptance within the straight community.

On a side note, I've finally figured out one of the issues with "Singularity". It seems my readers are divided into two camps, those who appreciate the positive outlook the story takes on the future of humanity, and those who object to the 'unrealistic' portrayal of Congress, arguing these most recent chapters are 'over the top' and that Congressmen would never let evidence countering their accepted Christian faith pass without a fight.

I really can't object to that, but I wrote the story to study issues of spirituality without the trappings of traditional religious dogma, so introducing it into the story as a source of conflict would essentially poison the entire story. Instead, it's more a tale of individual morality and the perseverance of the spirit.

While I understand those who object to this approach, I suggest you look from a broader perspective of 'what if', rather than a pessimistic 'what is right now'.

Feel free to let me know what you think, my lines are always open.

P.S. Oh, yes, I've also started a new giveaway for five (5) print copies of my new book, The Cuckoo's Progeny". See my website www.crumblywriter.net or www.vincentberg.com for details.

Update: Forgot to mention, the book giveaway begins July 18th and runs for one week, ending on July 25th. The details can be fond in the "Posts" section of my website, and you have to join goodreads.com to enter.
