This author thing is hard to understand, much less explain to people. The new story I just posted is a good example.
I was working on three (or four, depending on how you look at it) pretty long stories (books) when I made my last blog entry about having to slow down. By the way, my deepest thanks to all of you who wrote back. It's really heartwarming that so many people care. And for those of you who haven't mentioned it yet, I did try Dragon voice to text. It hasn't worked out yet, but might in the future.
Back to the primary purpose for this entry. I was working on all these long books and was frustrated because it was going so slowly. Then, as often happens, an idea for a new story came to me while I was dozing off. It was a complete plot idea for a short story.
So I got up and wrote it.
That happens to me all the time. I'll be neck deep in something and then something shiny distracts me and off I go.
Maybe I have ADHD, or something. Or maybe this was just something I could actually finish before my beard grew another inch.
Anyway, here it is. It's only two chapters long, so I posted both of them at once. That will only put it on the new stories page (page one) for a few hours, probably, but hopefully this blog entry will alert those who won't see it there to the fact that it actually exists.
The name of it is "Visiting The Psychiatrist" and I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks for reading
