I'm never fail to be surprised by the reaction of the great readers here at SOL when I post a story.
It's been two-and-a-half years since I last posted a story on the site - The Big Four Ohhh!, and four-and-a-half years since I started posting A Good Man, but posting the first chapter of A Tortured Soul has seen a massive spike in reads for AGM, I assume as people catch up with the first part of Paul's story, and a healthy number of first chapter reads for ATS too.
There's been a bump in reads of most of my other stories too, most notably Reunion and the aforementioned The Big Four Ohhh!.
I've also come back from a few days away at Easter with my family to find a slew of e-mails regarding AGM and ATS. But I haven't been able to deal with responding to them as yet. It's straight back to the day-job today and thanks to HM Government's change to the Stamp Duty tax law on April 1st, it's looking like this going to be my busiest week for property transactions perhaps ever, as people try to buy/sell houses before the tax rate hikes up. So if you're waiting for a response from me, I'm not ignoring you, I will get to it, but just not right away.
I've resubmitted the first chapter of ATS to correct a mistake (a missing word) that a reader picked up. I'll thank them for that personally by e-mail in due course. And I've also submitted the second chapter to go live as soon as. I've got some amendments to my html files to make before I can submit more chapters, but I'm hopeful I can queue things up in the next day or two. My planned posting schedule will be Mon/Wed/Fri one week, Tue/Thru/Sat the next week.
But we all know what they say about plans, even the best laid ones.
