Well, that's always the way it is with me. I get on a roll and I can't stop cranking out the story. Twice this week, I've had 6,000+ word days. And the story that I thought was going to be a nice tidy 30-35k is already at 30k and at least another 10k to go. For those of you that I promised, yes, this is my new Damsels in Distress story featuring Hero Lincoln titled "Romancing the Clown." I'm having way too much fun now that I can take a month off of writing LNDtH.
But, of course, that crew down in Bloomington, Indiana is still on my mind and I had to stop RtC for a while today to write a few hundred words of Brian's story before I lost them. I'm sure that won't be the end of that!
And just for good measure, I got a tickling in my brain today about an apocalyptic story. Not post-. There won't be any post- to this apocalypse. Yeah. When am I going to write that? Well, with the current backlog, don't expect it before 2020. If the world lasts that long. I remember that when I was 20 years old, I predicted the world would end in 2029. We'll just have to wait and see. It seemed like forever back then. Doesn't seem so far away nowadays.
I'm getting ready to go to a Zappa tribute concert tonight, but I was so wound up writing that I had to jot off a note here, too. Just can't shut up!
