I pulled into my campsite on the Siletz River about eight miles from Lincoln City, OR on Monday afternoon. I had no intention of unhooking my trailer or going anyplace for three days. In fact, it would have been a pain in the ass to do so. But imagine my surprise when I discovered the campground had no WiFi and I had no cell signal. I spent three days completely off the grid.
It was great. I got two chapters written on LNDtH2. I got editing done and a book laid out for a client. I happened to have one story that I hadn't read on my laptop, so I wasted a huge amount of my time reading. I scarcely went out of my trailer and even left my grill on all night so I ran out of LP. Nice clean grill now, though.
Unfortunately, I couldn't respond to the messages I received this past week and it will take me a day or two to catch up on that. Thank you all for your comments. I'm still having fun with the story and hope you are, too. I also have three stories summarized and ready to start writing in November, so I don't know which I'll write first! Expect a new story from me to begin next week, titled "Sleight of Hand," a story in Lazlo Zalezac's "Damsels in Distress" universe. Now it's time to get to work again!
