I was reminded by a friend that I hadn't posted a blog update in over a week. Oops. Of course, there was only one real question he wanted answered. So I'll tell you about everything else first.
In just a few short hours, Blackfeather will fall from the list of active serials into the category of completed stories. The final three chapters will post this evening. Once again, let me say that I am gratified by all your comments, your kind scoring, and to those of you who rushed right out and bought the eBook. The print book should be available soon!
Okay. The real news. When does Living Next Door to Heaven resume? Assuming that the editing doesn't reveal any severe problems, I expect to start posting LNDtH2, Part VI: El Rancho del Corazon in two weeks. Okay. Let's set a date! Since I don't anticipate problems, let's say May 21! I know many of you want it to start today, but please let us make sure it is as near error-free as we can make it. I will also plan to release Book 3: Foolish Wisdom on Kindle at that time. I can't tell you how much work I have to do in order to make this happen on that schedule, but I want to get as many chapters as possible in the queue before I actually cross the border into Canada and have to pay premium rates to get an Internet connection. I'll be back west of the border on June 8 and will be able to keep posting without a problem. Part VI to go about three months before I start posting Part VII. Haven't got a title for that one yet, but I'm working on it. Like the previous five parts, LNDtH2 will post every three days.
For those of you who are curious, I am currently in Bardstown, Kentucky, drinking Bourbon, and working my way north. I expect to spend a few days next week exploring the IU campus and surrounds so that I can have good descriptions to go with the settings in the next part. After all, Brian and most of his friends are headed to IU for the foreseeable future. In this part of LNDtH, there is mystery, intrigue, confrontation, exploration, young love, cooking, and lots of cute teenaged girls doing what teenaged boys (and some teenaged girls) hope they'll do.
Stay tuned! Two weeks from tonight the fun begins!
