First off, the recent chapter was actually finished last week, but the lack of internet for my editor sort of delayed things.
That said, all other delays have been due to me. Various things coming up, not wanting to sit down at the computer, etcetera. All annoying to all parties. With luck, things will improve. Introducing the character Harveen has helped, as she's fun to write. I had actually come up with her for the previous book, although she didn't have much of a personality. A child her was in the introduction to Spirit of Poland. You might notice the story now doesn't have an introduction. She originally was to be the source of the necklace, but as I got to the end of the first chapter I realized I didn't need that aspect. I also had decided not to deal with the Watu more than I needed to. So, she's here.
As for the current story, probably two or more chapters to go before another time jump. I have an end point, so it's a matter of how long it takes to get there.
Speaking of that, I re-read Servant of Wisdom recently. When I finished it, I thought I might have to go back, as my knowledge of the theological underpinnings were better now. However, I now think I covered it OK. If there is a problem, it's that I covered nine or so months in 13 chapters. That's rushing things. The fact the main characters don't deal with the outside world while the reader is paying attention kind of works, but there is room to expand. Not past the ending, though. It ends where it should.
