I'm not going to claim that I'm just like every other writer here. Honestly I have no clue what most of them are like. However, I can say that I've never known an author who did not appreciate feedback. Yes, the end of family letters has generated almost no feedback. This is a bit of a surprise to me, as my other Swarm Cycle stories usually generate a tsunami of e-mail when they come to a conclusion.
I'll admit that Family Letters is a bit different and unlike my other tales doesn't have the classic climax to the plot ending. That unfortunately was not exactly planned. This whole story came out of a letter game that Anne agreed to play. There are rules to letter games and one is that you aren't supposed to spend much time talking about your plans. the story is expected to be a surprise to you so that you can write somewhat realistic replies. Of course this means that we weren't coordinating events and around letter 100 to 110 we both realized that we'd run out of energy and the story was drifting a bit. We focused a bit more, but in the end the story just ran out rather than moving to a climax.
It was fun to write though, and I do remember the characters fondly. I might visit some of them again in the future. once other projects are completed.
