Ow, Ow, Ow!
My readers took me to the woodshed after last week's chapter was posted and I may have deserved it. In my enthusiasm to write a good story that you all (hopefully) are enjoying I didn't do enough research. I'll admit it, I've never been to Alaska and I should have looked into tour ship port calls and itineraries more thoroughly before I wrote of the trip Rob and Kay took as a significant part of their honeymoon.
Please keep in mind what this story is and is not. It is NOT a travelogue. It IS a romantic story of growth, self discovery and love between two people who came together by accident and without any romantic intentions. They denied their pull towards each other and had to be hit over the head to finally acknowledge what others around them were seeing.
I meant no disrespect to our 49th state and I wasn't trying to deceive or trick my readers. It was just a matter of simple ignorance on my part. I'll tell you all right now, I've never spent any time in Kansas and very little time in San Diego and Florida. This story is from my imagination, any similarities to people and places in the real world are coincidental, even if they are intentional. Please allow me the literary license to get some facts and representations wrong in my zeal to entertain all of you.
Until next time.
