This week with Arlene and Jeff:
..."So we can go together, then?" Arlene pushed.
Jeff frowned, but knowing that several of the others were well into their training programs for the scouts, finally said, "I'll permit it…" he began as Ann and Arlene started grinning, "but again, I want an absolute promise from each of you that the two of you, singly or together, will not take any chances. From what the two of you have reported so far - and what Ship has just reported to me after she finished reviewing the scout's information - the aliens haven't given any indication that they are winding up their stay at the asteroid belt. Ship's assessment is more involved, but basically the same as yours, namely that the aliens aren't going anywhere in the immediate future. That said, I think the two of you could put off leaving until the morning."
"Thank you, Daddy," Arlene said as she plopped down in his lap. "And we promise, don't we Ann?"
"Yeah," Ann agreed. "I'm not a bit interested in getting killed or captured by aliens."
Arlene wiggled on her father's lap. "Okay. You have our promises; now take me to bed and screw my brains out."...
Have a goodun;
