Things happen, you know? And sometimes things happen serendipitously. Being a philosopher, I like to reflect on things like that.
Take, for instance, the fact that I wrote a story that had the working title of "Caitlin's Summer With Uncle Bob," which didn't make the cut when the story was finished. The title became "Serendipity" instead.
And then take the fact that someone out there just happened across one of my other stories and read it and liked it enough to write to me. That's serendipity.
And then take the fact that this person is also an author at SOL. That's serendipity.
And then take the fact that I read one of her stories and loved it enough to make it my top favorite story. What a happy accident all this was.
But it's not enough to put her as one of my favorite authors (after reading just one story!) so I'm doing this blog entry to spread the word.
Check her out. I think you'll be glad you did.
The story I read was Best On Board. She's a relatively new arrival at SOL and I'm really glad she showed up here.
And, just for the record, the fact that her protagonist's name is Bob had nothing to do with all this. <G>
Thanks for reading.
