It is summer time and we are having summer time weather with afternoon and evening storms. This is normal for this time of year. As a result of the storm we had last night (which wasn't that big) a tree, or its branches, came down on a power line; the one that feeds the little sub-community I live in. This resulted in me loosing power and not being able to post until later than normal. My apologies. Blame it on the city planners who opted for overhead power lines instead of buried service feeds.
Buried service feeds are more expensive but they're more reliable and less subject to damage due to weather or inattentive drivers. They're also not the eyesore that overhead power lines are. In case you haven't gathered; I'm a strong proponent of buried service feeds including power, water, gas and all other utilities.
