Last week I went on a rant about some (a little) of the feedback I received. My rant wasn't because the feedback was negative; it was because the premise of the feedback (the sex in my story was too much and too graphic) did not make sense to me, based on my understanding of why the SOL website exists. I received a lot of feedback this past week that gave me support about this issue. The almost universal response was that the sex I had in my story was slow (maybe too slow), realistic, appropriate to the story as I'm writing it, and tasteful. Thank you.
I've asked, a few times, for you readers to let me know where in the world you are, so that I can see where the story of Rob and Kay is being read. I have had more than 200 specific responses to that question. I've also been asked to post the results here in my blog. There are way too many to list each one individually but I will tell you the great majority of the responses come from the U.S. (no real surprise), all across the country. I haven't counted specifically but it wouldn't surprise me if it was a full 50 state response. I know I've had responses from both Alaska and Hawaii. In addition to the U.S., I've had multiple responses from (in no specific order), Britain, The U.K. (there's a difference?) Australia, Finland, New Zealand, Canada, Israel, Spain, Belgium, India, Denmark and South Africa. There may be a couple I missed. I'll continue to keep a running list. Thank you to all who have responded to my requests and please keep the responses coming.
Until next time.
