Sixty Chapters in and SECOND CHANCE has passed 400,000 downloads. That seems like a huge number. Thank you to all who read my book.
Mike "O" is working on correcting all the little, and not so little mistakes I made along the way. Chapter sixty should be ready Saturday.
Several of you have written and asked about my characters, and how I view them.
Remembering that I'm NOT a writer, but I am a storyteller, I create characters that have a real pulse to me. I can tell you about their voice inflection, unusual looks they give, and the slight hesitation in their voice just before one of them lies.
They are real people in my mind, that I try to communicate through the written word.
The greatest challenge is in withholding enough detail so the characters don't become boring, or methodical. If they come across as stale, or predictable, I've lost before I begin.
Storytelling is the art of painting pictures with words, facial expression, and tone of voice.
Writing is taking all that, and interpreting it in two dimensions, on a flat piece of paper.
That's why I admit to being a storyteller, though not much of a writer.
Hope you all are having a great weekend. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the characters, and story.
Thanks again for reading my book.
