SOL Review

I have to say that so far I'm very impressed with this site in general. I have been on quite a few different short story sites (I won't mention the site names) and every one of those sites leaves me feeling like there is something missing from them.

So far I don't get that feeling from this site at all. When you post a story it is reviewed fairly quickly. Usually within thirty minutes (or less) from the time you submit a story, it is reviewed and posted. Your work is listed at the top of the new story section, and you even get a temporary spotlight on the front page.

What's even more amazing, and I wish I had known this before I published my novel, is that I had an offer from a reader to edit my work! This means a lot to me because, while I have a very creative mind, I do not possess a very good analytical mind. Therefore no matter how many times I proofread and edit my work I still miss things.

The person that I'm referring to is PawWriter. Upon reading his test edit for me I knew I had found someone that was genuinely qualified to proofread and edit and I was thrilled that he was willing to work with me, because God knows I need a good editor and proofreader. He quickly reviewed the Prologue that I sent him and he found things that I would have never seen. No matter how many times I went over it.

The overall benefits to this site are too many to mention, but it is the quality of the readers and writers that leaves my jaw hanging.

Thanks to the readers and a special thanks to PawWriter for being kind enough to lend a qualified hand.
