I received the proof copies of Twinfinity: Nethermore yesterday. I could hardly believe it as I sat there holding a copy of my hard work in my hands. I actually had the tangible proof of all of my efforts, bound together with ink and glue, in my lap.
When I first started working on the novel I had done a little research on how to self publish. I looked at various ways to accomplish the task and Createspace was one of the ways I looked into. It was by far the cheapest and it was the way I decided, in my mind, that I would go with. As I researched it, however, I discovered that there were some complaints with the trim, glue, and binding. What I held in my lap had none of those issues. All of the physical features of the book turned out wonderfully.
If any of you out there are writing stories on this site, and the back of your mind is telling you to try and write a novel ... Do it! There is no greater feeling than having a completed work of your own in your hands.
I went through the book, found the changes that I wanted to make, and made them. I submitted the changes last night and approved the book for distribution this morning. Apparently it will take a few days to reach Amazon, but I've waited this long so a few more days won't kill me. I guess.
