This week with Arlene and Jeff:
...She had figured out where her classrooms were located and had managed to arrive on time. Somehow, she had survived her first day, although there were times that she had no idea what the instructor was talking about. Finally, the last class was over. Unfortunately, there were massive reading assignments to be done before class tomorrow, and that didn't include all the material she would have to make up, nor the tests that were looming two weeks from now.
She stepped into her room, thinking only of ordering a big dinner from the computer to be consumed as she began her reading assignments. Unfortunately, her roomie was already in their quarters, and the collar insignia signified a fourth year upper classman. "Ma'am," Ann hissed out as she came to attention.
Before she could do anything else, the other girl said. "Do not salute me while we are in my room, nor do you salute anyone as long as you are inside this building. On the grounds, it is twenty demerits if you should fail to salute any fourth year upper classman, or any Trooper, no matter the rank. They all outrank you. When in doubt about rank - salute. Better to be laughed at than disciplined."...
Have a goodun;
