"A Good Man", the first book in the Tutelam Venit Series, yesterday hit a scoring milestone.
After creeping slowly towards it for some time now, it finally hit the psychological significant "8" barrier, making it my second highest scoring piece on the site. Although, given the highest scoring piece is incomplete and has less than 50 votes, I'm not sure it really counts.
According to the stats that we authors can see, almost two thirds of the votes on "A Good Man" are 9 or 10 (with ever so slightly more 9s than 10s) and there are about half as many 8s. It's the sites scoring adjustment that has kept the overall score that readers see below 8. I'm not going to bitch about that, we all play by the same rules so fair's fair.
Besides, an 8, is pretty much like "4 stars out of 5" and I think most people would be happy with that.
If you haven't read the story, you can do so here. (And if you like it and want to offer some support to a hard up writer, you can find the book for purchase in various popular e-book stores).
Incidentally, work on the second book in the series has stalled simply because I'm very time poor at present. The frustrating thing though is that the damn thing is almost finished. Almost. So close.....
