The new chapters have been sent to the Moderators for posting.
This week's chapters open with Clare and Saorise expressing distaste for the women of Philadelphia. They have also gathered some new intelligence, as did the other port teams during their visits. Over the next few days the confusion and panic spreads among the British.
On Tuesday night, Mark delivers the ultimatum to surrender. It is not well received, and the O'Connells must leave a strong impression on the British. They also isolate all of the British Headquarters from their support troops, and supplies in all of the ports. Later it is decided to move all of the British Commanders together in Philadelphia. The Generals stall for time before surrendering.
Mark informs General Greene on Monday that they have demanded the British surrender. They receive some help on provisions for the surrender documents. On Tuesday, they travel to Charles Town with William to print copies of the surrender documents. That night the Generals are still stalling.
In the mean time in Savannah, events are occurring that will effect the outcome of their struggle. A fishing boat Captain brings a Frenchman to Captain Billy with a tale about a large British fleet headed for the colonies. Amelia and her port team learn about this the next day.
Enjoy these two chapters. More next week.
I wish a very Merry Christmas to all of my readers.
All of the British Generals mentioned in these chapters are actual historic characters from the time period of the story.
