Another month, another bout of actual writing. :) I've even put some work on a Swarm Cycle story, but only a few hundred words.
I do plan on trying to be very active writing this month. For those who don't know there is an event every November called NaNoWriMo. I haven't joined, but I do plan on trying to exceed the goal from the event which is 50,000 words in 30 days. Yesterday was about 2,500 words written (I keep track at the 1,000s level and all I know is I started above 224K on one story and it broke 227K just before I called it a night.
The furthest I am with a Swarm Cycle story is about 23K words. I'll see if I can get it moved along, but it's mostly if I get a bit stuck on my main focus. And hopefully I can avoid any.... SQUIRREL!!!
Oops, yes, I do need to maintain focus. *mutters to self "Concentrate, focus power!"* :P
That's about it for my blog for now. Writing is progressing. I have a couple of reader/editors who I really like and who are hopefully helping improve my writing (I can't tell, I always think I'm a hack level writer.)
My only other recent idea which I might pursue would be a bunch of chapter length "interludes" on Ishtar. Basically have each chapter be 1-2 hours in the life of a randomly (well, not quite random, more like whoever screams "give me page time") character from the universe. If I do that, I'll post them here, but not sure if I will, so far the few ideas I have aren't really stories, just more "Scenes from the life on Ishtar". Who wants 10 pages describing Tamara, Tiffany and their household playing a game of 3v3 ice hockey where the losers have to pay a sexual forfeit?
