First, my thanks for the feedback I've received for chapter 12 of Dee Saves the Program. Much appreciated. Also thanks for the votes.
Now the story, and I warn you I've only read the first chapter, which is all that is up so far, but it's grabbed me. I almost gave it a review, but decided one chapter isn't really enough.
But I don't want this story to be missed by discerning readers. There's no sex yet, so if that's all you want, look elsewhere. There is story, which is why I like it.
It is Girl Refurbished by Argon. This is a polished work -- technically perfect, with the readable, conversational style I strive for myself.
The plot is intriguing. I don't want to say more than that. I'll just say it makes me want to continue reading.
The characters are well depicted, well rounded and realistic, as is the situation and setting.
Argon has taken the time and trouble to consult an expert on the internal workings of the parole system in the State of Maryland, where the story is set, which is a real plus.
In my book, he is a pro and this story looks to be worth reading.
