The new chapters have been sent to the Moderators for posting.
This weeks chapters open with the mare giving birth, and several of the O'Connell Sisters engraving the stones at the gates of the fort.
At their meeting with General Clark the next day, Mark and Seamus learn that there will be a a conference of Regional Commanders in mid-July. General Clark will be going and wants them to accompany him. His ideas on traveling there are very time consuming and involve a lot of people.
Mark proposes a different method and soon he and some of the others are on the way to Nashville. Nashborough, as it is called there, is a very small town with a decaying fort. They soon return to Fort Henry.
The next day they explain what they found and how they propose to make the trip. The General agrees and they prepare to leave in five days.
The O'Connells go to Lexington on Friday. They are more impressed with it than they were with Nashborough.
On Tuesday morning, Mark, Wolf and Gerald transfer General Clark and his Aide to Nashborough. The General isn't pleased with the wait for a keelboat or the condition of the fort.
The General gets very drunk at dinner that night. It requires a spell to gain entrance to the fort and to fix the roof that night.
Enjoy these two chapters. More next week.
