The new chapters have been sent to the Moderators for posting.
This weeks chapters open with the O'Connells dealing with the results of the battle. Later Mark and Seamus visit General Sullican's headquarters tent to get some answers to some of their questions. They learn something about the current state of the war. Later still there are concerns about lighting the defensive shell that they are using for the night.
The developing rain storm prompts concerns about the Army's ability to leave the area soon, and Mark seeks permission to place a defensive shell over the entire camp. The storm turns out to be rather intense. Mark receives a commission as a Captain in the Army the next morning, and Jillian is attacked by some Continentals.
A note on Historic Characters:
There are a number of actual Historic Characters that will appear in the story for a short time in various chapters. General John Sullivan is one of them, but I failed to indicate that when he was introduced. All new Historic Characters will be so identified in their descriptions. I have based those descriptions on my research and they are as accurate as the information
on the person allows.
Enjoy these two chapters. More next week.
