When I'm not writing I'm usually reading, and I recently discovered two stories, one that'll go on my favorites list, and a second that looks worthwhile, both on SOL, of course.
The first is "Saralinda" by Gray Beard. It's gotten a couple of great reviews and I'll add my recommendation. Read the reviews, I won't waste space here talking about it. It is long, about 106,000 words, but worth it.
The second popped up in the Suggested Reading window this morning. "Axe Victim" is by Lellan McLemore. It's an older story (2006) and it was the score (8.82) that caught my eye. It's another longish one, about 50k words, and I've just started it. It looks interesting. Eventually I'll review it, but for now, take a chance!
