There's a guy out there in the webiverse who has illustrated a few of my Bedroom Rhymes using images he's found online. I encouraged him at first (and I'm still looking for an illustrator), but in his last attempt, he didn't just illustrate the poem. He rewrote it -- updated it, in his word -- and, as far as I'm concerned, he ruined it. He also violated the copyright. I have forbidden him from touching any more of my work. I fuss over my rhymes, taking great care to make them readable, and it's an insult to see them altered with a few half-assed lines that probably didn't take more than a minute to write.
It shouldn't be necessary to say this, but it is not cool to rewrite an author's work.
So, for the record, if you see anything attributed to me outside of SOL or ASSTR, you may assume it does not have my approval. The final, revised and Jillinghoff-sanctioned versions of my stories and poems appear only on these two sites.
The rest is piracy.
