As I sit and look out the window, it's not too difficult to think about writing. A big gray squirrel has been shimmering down the bamboo pole and hanging upside down to get at the suet feeder. Very shortly I will go out and attempt to frustrate his endeavors. I had a Pileated woodpecker at the feeder for the first time ever. That was really fun to see.
I thought the ice would be frozen by now, but a warm spell has turned the ice into a very precarious situation. The back yard is scattered with deer droppings and some other scat that I don't recognize. Maybe I will finally get that trail camera for Christmas so I can check it out.
"Nymph" did not do as well as I expected. I don't know if it was the title, the subject matter, or just poor writing. The few comments that I did receive were mostly positive. As always, it's good to hear that I influenced someone to reflect or I encouraged them in their day.
I've prepared a Christmas story for you this weekend. I sure hope you like it. I've got to go and foil that tenacious squirrel.
