No Interview Today

There won't be a "Triptych Interview" posted today. I'm away at a writers' conference and there is no WiFi at the convention center, so I'm limited to a few minutes at night or early in the morning before I go there. Here's the schedule as it appears at the moment, just so you know that things aren't forgotten and not abandoned.

Monday, July 23, I'll post chapter 15 of "Triptych." That is the last chapter of this part. However, the following Monday (7/30) I'll post an "Intermission" chapter. It will give you the set-up for part II. I'll then take an 8-week break and be back with Part II in September (9/24) or on October 1.

Next Saturday (7/28), I'll post the interview with Kate. The following Saturday (8/4) I'll have one last pre-intermission interview with special guest, Gypsy.

I haven't mentioned this before, but there the completion schedule for Part II and the posting schedule for the next Model Student series are currently scheduled to overlap! I expect to wrap up "Triptych" on about November 12, but I reserve a plus or minus a week on that. I know there's a lot of ground to cover between where part I ends and part II ends.

But November is also National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). I have a tradition of participating in this event and often plan to draft my next publishable work that month. I've completed NaNoWriMo (successfully finished a novel of at least 50,000 words in 30 days) ten times in the past eight years. Yeah. Twice I did it double. I also have a tradition of blogging my new work as I write it. This year, I have a Model Student Episode planned for NaNoWriMo, and I'll post a chapter each day in November here on SOL.

I don't have a working title for the next episode yet, but I'll tell you that it is not told from Tony's perspective and that even though the characters we all know and love are present, they are peripheral to the new story.

Sounds exhausting and I'm already getting tired (and I'm fighting a killer toothache while at the conference this weekend). But I live to write.

Well, I have to get to the first session at the conference. Sorry about the lack of interview today, but you'll enjoy it when it appears.
