I named my latest chapter "The Chapter that Will be Jacked Off to More than All Others"
In part engaging in hyperbole with a little tongue planted in cheek. I did REALLY enjoy writing it and I hope that the title is true but it was more just I am a little playful with chapter titles.
It took me months to write this chapter. I don't know why. I can sometimes write 2-3 chapters in a day.
It wasn't that I didn't have inspiration as to what comes next - I do.
I take my time with events in the story and describe them in as much detail as I think they warrant. I can spend an entire chapter just on the anticipation of a punishment (because to me that is often more delicious than delivering it).
It wasn't that I didn't have enough time to write - I do.
it was more that there is this elusive 'writing bug' I get that will sort of guide me when writing up a story. it is this kind of inspiration that I write without even really thinking.
(Sure, I know what you will say 'yep, typical airhead') but what I mean is more like I get into the 'zone' and sort of just write on instinct for lack of a better term.
I haven't had that in a long time. This chapter was an event I really liked from a story perspective. I fleshed out a new character who is playing sort of a 'villain' role but gave her some human qualities. I also did an homage of sorts to a big inspiration of mine.
I thought I'd just sort of blog and say that I've not put this story on the shelf. I probably added 1 or 2 sentences a day, slow-brewing the story.
I hope you will continue your journey on with the Taylor's in Family Feud IV (And V if there is more story to tell).
