So one of my readers (I have some GOOD readers) writes me and points out that with Tina and Alan in Tennessee ("Christina")and Tina being seventeen, Alan is consorting with somebody below the age of consent in the state of Tennessee. He is in deep kimchee. I googled it. It's a fact!
That left me in a quandary: Should I leave it like it was, hoping that I have only ONE reader noting the error, or have the characters in the story live on in ignorant bliss, or have Alan prosecuted by a zealous law enforcement official, or somehow fix the problem.
Option One didn't fly. I'm an engineer, and loose ends bother me.
I am happy to say that I have come up with my own solution to that little challenge. It's complete, but I'm on the road, and the email address of my editor is not on this computer, so I won't have the chapter to the editor until Friday, which means that you likely won't get it until maybe Sunday.
The editor does have another installment of "Cindy" and I'm getting to work on the next stage of "Nina", when the daughter shows up for summer visitation.
As always, I enjoy the comments, so feel free to write. Some of you have gone into some pretty good detail about how you've connected with the characters and situations in my stories, and that tells me that at least for some of you, I am accomplishing my goals.
