The state of my state: just checking in

Hey folks. Received emails asking me how I am. That's very flattering, that some people care. Aww :)

So here's how I am: I'm good. Mostly.

Health: Physical health fantastic. Emotional health? Mostly good. Working on the intimacy issues.

Parental reconciliation: Did not go well. How can I have a relationship with them if they refuse to take ownership of what they did? They invited me to spend Passover with them. What did they expect me to do? Masturbate for them with a piece of matzoh?

The young man I was seeing: We had intercourse (but see intimacy issues). He's a wonderful guy and I want to explain to him why I'm a little screwed up but I'm unable to talk about it.

Growth spurt: Amazingly, at 20, the spurt I've had this past year is still going on. I'm up to 5'8" and a very solid 135 lbs. Still the same size on top, however. Curious.

Tennis: There is no doubt in my mind that if I'd taken up tennis instead of baseball when I was a kid, I'd be playing on the world stage.

Dragon boat racing: I've been training on occasion with one of the local teams. This is an amazing team rowing sport, entailing the toughest workouts I've ever had. To watch a race, go 7 minutes into this video

School: Winding up my junior year in pre-law. However, because of a change in career plans, I'll be going on for my MBA and not international law. Mandarin is the toughest course I've ever taken and it cost me my perfect 4.0 GPA. Thankfully, no more Mandarin. Xie, xie.

Career plans: I've been asked to be the point person (eventually) for a venture capital group that my dear friend Frederick is putting together. This will involve a lot of traveling and financial analysis. The future's so bright I gotta wear shades.

Sex: No more picking up strangers, no more performances at orgies, not much with anyone except myself.

Writing: I've done a little work on a couple of things but if and when I post them, I'll probably pull the scoring. I don't want to give the haters the satisfaction. Having said that, I'm enjoying a very sexy cyber thing with a boy my own age, which is different for me, in that he doesn't ask me to call him daddy.

Fast cars: Not so much.

Drinking: I've reached a happy median. I limit myself to 1 drink/hour and never drive buzzed anymore. I can live with this.

So that's it. Kind of boring compared to the prior 10 years or even compared to my first year of SOL blogging but it seemed like it was time to grow up. Hope everyone is well.
