My America's greatest problem

My Conservative acquaintances think I'm a Liberal

First, what America's greatest problem isn't:
The current budget deficit
A fat, ignorant and "you owe me" population
Trying to be the cops of the world
The welfare state
The great recession
A bloated, Federal bureaucracy

NO, THE #1 AND GREATEST PROBLEM FACING AMERICA IS ITS POLITICIANS. Democrats, Republicans, Liberals, Conservatives and Tea Party sycophants, whose real motives have become clear as they look to close a trillion dollar deficit by shutting down NPR and Planned Parenthood. Gutless men and women who pander to their constituencies, who have no regard for their country and who's primary motivation is to get re-elected and who's secondary motivation is to espouse their views. None of them, including Barack Obama, have the courage to admit publicly the hard decisions that face us, because we are broke and in the ultimate irony, our runaway spending is being financed by a communist country. And don't get me started on our energy policy, which consists of subsidizing Exxon/Mobil.

They stare one another down, as the clock ticks away on their country. Our elected officials. A pox on all their cowardly houses.

The greatest, most important document on the planet is the United States Constitution. It was written by great men with vision, who gave up their special interests for the greater good. Where are these people? Where are our leaders? I've heard it said that you get the government you deserve. How sad for my America. How sad for our children.

Disgusted by politicians,
