I've never written a blog entry about a new story before, but I guess other people do it. I'll give it a try.
Roger's Island. I think of this as a mainstream story for me -- unlike Port-a-Potty or Kidnapping From the Heart, which were kind of "specialized" (the first about our lowest instincts, the second about our highest?). No science fiction in this one -- except perhaps human psychology. Could young girls ever think of sexual touch as in the same class as posing for pictures or brushing their hair? I assume not in real life (given delayed effects, it would be much too dangerous to try to find out), but I'll give it a whirl in fantasy. I like the "Allie" part especially, mixing make-believe and reality. Roger tries to help Allie lie convincingly that she is being sexual with him when she's not. I'll see if it works for others.
