To "cum" or to "come"?

I was recently introduced to an SOL author I had never read before. I'll talk about how talented I believe she is in another post, but for now I just want to mention something I noticed after reading most of her stories.

She uses "come" instead of "cum". I've of course seen "come" used plenty of other times, but as far as I can remember, it was always by people whose preferred spelling of breasts was "tities", self stimulation was "masterbation", and in chat rooms they would often say they thought I was a beautiful "women." But this is definitely not the case with this author. She knows what she's doing, in a big way.

I asked her about the choice to use "come" and she said it was simply her preference. Of course I respect her choice, but I couldn't help looking in a few dictionaries to see what they said about the usage of these words. To my surprise, an even Webster online list "come" with one of the definitions being "to experience an orgasm." One called the use "vulgar" and another "slang" (probably neither is inaccurate), but it was there nonetheless.

So, while I prefer to have my characters (and myself) cum, I respect my fellow author's choice to come. However, I am still on the lookout for the masterbaters. ;-)
