I wrote The Competition a few years ago for a naturist story website that did not condone any actual sex in the tales - they were supposed to be about discovering or enjoying naturism, not coitus. As a result, all the sex is off-screen. Which is good for this writer, who as I assured everyone in my last post cannot write a decent sex scene to save my life.
Diane York was an enormously fun character to create. We've all known Class A personalities, and we've all known people whose future actions are influenced by failures (either real or perceived) in middle or high schools. Putting those two factors together gives you a character who makes the lives of all your other characters hell and drives your plot forward.
