After much consideration, I find that I have no wish to annoy those people who do read and enjoy my stories by stopping my postings in the middle of a tale. That means I will continue to post here, at least on those stories which are presently started but incomplete. I will be posting an edit of the last chapter posted as well as the next chapter of Car 54 sometime tonight.
However, future postings may be sporadic. I'd advise anyone interested in new postings to either keep watch on the 'Updates' lists, or join my Yahoo group and sign up to have a notice sent when I post a new chapter of this or any other story.

The answer is super critical e-mails, arriving in massive groups, all seemingly related and all purporting that I must be 'the devil incarnate' or worse.
On July 9th, I reposted a story which had been previously removed from this site. For a few days it received nothing but high votes; I'm unsure of the score, but it was darn high. However, for some strange reason, when 50 votes had been tabulated, the vote count jumped by 5 votes and the score suddenly dropped. I wasn't watching it, but one of my editing staff was. She's a math whiz and let me know that to drop that amount in 5 votes, all 5 people had to vote either 1 or 2. That annoyed me, but what followed was worse.
(Actually, if I could, I would ask Lazeez to remove the possiblity of anyone voting on any of my stories. To me that score is worse than useless, either as a writer, or as a reader.)
At the same time as the negative votes appeared, my 'mailbox' began to be flooded with e-mails, extremely critical e-mails. In five days I had received well over 200 ultra-critical emails. They all seemed to be related and all of them were purporting that I must be 'the devil incurnate' and 'the worse writer EVER' (SIC - those are quotes from the e-mails). Every one of those critical e-mails was anonymous or had a ficticious and often insulting e-mail address.
So, if you want to contact me, go to my 'homepage' on this site. Then click on the link to my 'Forum' in the top left hand corner of the page, that will take you to my Yahoo Group. Since Yahoo Groups tracks all new member's addresses, I then have a much better chance of cutting down on the slanderous innuendo and outright profanity in my mailbox. At least I'll have a clue where to check in order to retrace e-mail routings. Then if I find a culprit, I can arrange to block the URL of the guilty party from ever e-mailing me again.
By the way, my holiday is about at an end, my visiting family members have returned home, I've attended the funerals of friends, and have kept busy in other ways. However, I have been writing a little bit.
BUT, it will be a while before I post anything here. It has to be written, edited, and everything else first.

Due to health and personal problems, I'm unable to write much at this time, so I'm afraid that I feel I need a break. I am taking a holiday.
The reception of my last story and the resultant extremely critical emails that I received from those reading my stories on this site didn't help the state of my mental viewpoint either.
In fact I've removed my e-mail access from this site because of that type of e-mail. Most of the e-mails were sent annonymously and in almost half of those e-mails I was blatantly told that I 'ruined' the story by not openly describing the sexual acts performed by the characters.
I have at times written erotica, but I usually write romantic stories, science fiction stories and occasional mysteries. All of them are plot and character based, with oodles of description of detail.
Let's face it folks, I do NOT write stroke stories.
