The new chapters have been sent to the Moderators for posting.
This week's chapters open with Clare in need. Mike takes care of her needs, and everyone is soon up. Several things become apparent soon after that. The 'Book of Dreams' changes their plans to return immediately to Frankfurt, and they discover a conspiracy to take over large portions of France and Switzerland.
Preparations are made to leave after that, but to go in a different direction than they had intended. The guys prepare their horses plus requisition a cart and team for the women to travel in.
While escaping from the Duke's manor, Pat has occasion to use the Murphy spell on some arriving Wizards.
They camp out for the next two nights, but discover a problem on the third morning. Clare and Cathleen's Magic is revealed then. The day is spent getting new shoes put on all of the horses.

On a personal note: Thanks to the readers who wished me well on my trip. It was successfully completed, but I don't recommend going to Washington DC to any one. Entirely too many roads and too much traffic plus too few places to park.

This weeks' chapters open with Pat and Mike discovering just who those with the large Talents that they had sensed on arrival are. They are shocked at who they are and at their condition. They immediately take steps to remedy these problems and to punish those responsible.
Later in more comfortable quarters, they restore the girls to health and spend an enjoyable night with the them.
There is a lot happening in these two chapters and several surprises, but I don't want to give away too much. You will have to read them to discover everything.

This week's chapters open with a history lesson by Grandfather Michael. Grandmother Laura has a revelation for the guys before they are led to their rooms for the night.
Mike and Pat are each visited by three young women that night. In the morning, some of the senior servants are upset with their slow progress. It turns out that Mike and Pat aren't happy with them either.
The guys meet with their Grandfather for the next several days to discuss their mission. Where to start looking is determined in a most unusual way. Grandfather Michael advises them on the best way to travel, and they are measured for new clothes.
After attending a State Welcoming Dinner, Mike has Gretchen stay with him for his final night before leaving on the mission.
The next day is spent preparing to leave on their journey. That night is spent in a hotel on the riverfront. The next day, they leave Frankfurt by boat, and travel down the Main, the Rhine, the Moselle, and the Marne Rivers before going overland to their first destination which is Dijon in the Province of Burgundy.

The opening chapter of the story list all of Katie and Margie's Grandchildren and reacquaints everyone with the other members of the family. Following that it goes over Mike's and Pat's early life.
Chapter two begins with a visit from the Eternal Flame telling Mike and Pat that he has a mission for them to their Grandfather's Reality.
Their arrival at Grandfather Michael's court causes quite a bit of excitement. While they wait for their Grandfather to finish his business, they meet a number of people working there and find out something about how Magic is used and organized there.
After their Grandfather arrives later they find out more about the problem and how Magic is organized there. They also heat his dinner for him.

As I said in the comments, this is a short, but VERY DARK story about a young woman recovering after a very bad auto accident.
I have had this story on hold for several years now. I woke up one morning with it in my head and quickly wrote it out. I have had several people look at it, and asked them if I should post it.
Some said to NOT post it, and others said to go ahead and post it. I leave it to you the readers to decide if you like it or not. It is a bit disturbing.
Please let me know how you feel about the story.
