I've had stuff come up every day this week. And we're coming up on the end, so I want to give this more thought than my usual self-imposed deadlines allow.
I know I've usually posted it by now. Big stuff is about to happen and I want to take the time to get it right. It should be ready next week.
I've got this up on Literotica, but not here, so figured I'd post it. The stories are in order of their release date, but I recognize a list would be handy. Also, someone asked, so sure.
"Pink Zone Warning" and "Pink Zone Rising" are not on this list because that's a separate universe and, well, that's the order of them right there.

Well, hi, everyone. Haven't written anything for a while. Actually, I have, and that's what's taken me so long. I wrestled with a story for about a year and only got nine chapters in. So, let me tell you about the story that nobody will be seeing.
"Night Terrors" was going to be about a terrorist assault on San Finzione. Someone is organizing crackpot groups like anti-vaxxers and arming troubled loners to cause carnage in the country. They also break Heinrich Dietz out of prison to lead the terror cell and do as much harm as he can to the country before going after Helen. This time, leading a team of professionals, he starts a bombing campaign while Helen, with Susan's help, races to stop him.
For some reason, I found myself unable to write more than a couple of sentences a day. The opening scene was the hijacking of a cruise ship, and I watched a bunch of hijacking movies in preparation. Just like how, with the current story, I've seen a lot of heist movies lately.
Eventually, I realized that two elements of the story were stopping me. The first was that the story had progressed to the point where the terrorists had to win one. A bloody nightclub bombing was going to happen, and I would have to harm The People of San Finzione. My characters have fun, and there's no place to have fun in a bombing campaign. So, the only direction I could take it was darker.
The second thing, the one that stopped me and is the reason the story will never see the light of day, was the flashback scene I wrote. Because the theme of the story was terror, I decided to make it a flashback to the night Helen's mother was murdered.
It's well-established that Marion Parker died a victim of domestic violence. That she stood up to her husband when he started eyeing their second daughter like their first, and he killed her for it. And I had to write it out. And that's the point at which I couldn't go on.
So, I eventually came up with something I think is a bit better and started on that. Hope you dig it.
