Patience

If you want to make the gods laugh, tell them your plans.

That means it wasn't as quiet and peaceful at home as I had hoped it would be. So once more the next chapter wasn't finished within the time frame I am still aiming for. At least it didn't take another month though and yesterday I sent chapter 15 to my editors. It's also a bit longer with 40 kb text than my usual 28-30 kb. I had to prevent a cliffhanger ending because I didn't want to strain your patience any more than I already did.

Now I'm waiting to get the reviews and just like you, I have to be patient.

Sincerely,
Robberhands

Back From Vacation

After two weeks of leave from home for work reasons I took an unplanned vacation and that’s the reason for the lack of progress on Family Business. I’m back since the last weekend and yesterday I sent chapter 14 to my editors. One of them replied to me already that he won’t be able to look it over before Monday.

That’s the actual status. Neither did I vanish nor did I abandon the story. I’m writing and hopefully will be able to reach a weekly update schedule again.

Sincerely,
Robberhands

Action and Adventure

When I wrote the new synapsis for Law of the Blood, I originally had a line in it stating that the story is „no action adventure“. Chipster82, one of my three overwrought editors, disagreed, because his affinity for action and adventure stories is and was a major reason for him to start reading LotB and continues to be one.

I had to agree and in reaction I wrote chapter 8. If you liked it let me know, if you didn’t, complain about it to Chipster82!

Story coding

Today I finally rewrote the synopsis to Law of the Blood, something I should have done a long time ago. The reason was a lengthy discussion between some authors with stories on SOL and one topic among others was coding and the rating of a story regarding the amount of sex as in “some sex” or “much sex”. Personally I don’t care much, but a reasonable opinion stated that wrong coding could be seen as “false advertising”. So if you think I should change the coding I’ve chosen, please let me know and I’ll change it to whatever a majority of you think is correct.
I still refuse to give a warning that “there is no sex until the third chapter”, if you can’t or don’t want to read two chapters without sex scenes, this isn’t the story for you and you better find out right away.

I am lazy too

That’s the reason I don’t answer every e-mail I receive as feedback to my stories. I answer every serious question though. I even answered some from anonymous senders before I realized my mistake.
Don’t believe I wouldn’t appreciate the mails I didn’t answer, especially if they were kind or downright flattering. I’m addicted to them and already miss the response from some of my favorite readers.
The feedback I get is my main motivation to continue with the story. I hope you notice the subtle threat (No feedback - no motivation - no story!)

Sincerely,
Robberhands

P.s.: Chapter 7 of Family Business is queued
