I have just submitted a new story - a poem, really, which was suggested to me by an e-pal of mine named Anna Partridge, who writes erotic verse. She was having some trouble with the scansion, she said, and I volunteered to see if I could clean it up. In the process, I produced a new version, which she liked, and which I have posted with her permission.
It was fun to do, and it was a nice break from Christie and the High School Hookers.
Thanks, Anna. I hope to rip off more of your ideas in the future.

I'm happy to report that after only 48 hours, "High School Hookers" has been added to 93 libraries at SOL. This is 30 more than the previous record holder, "Candy-coated popcorn." I guess readers don't want to miss the next installments. I'll try not to disappoint them.
And, as my last word on another topic, I have received this response to what I thought was my clever little limerick:

The next step? What hole has this guy's head been stuck up for the past 30 years? The Democrats, the atheists, the gays and a whole lot more have been targets forever. I'm hardly quaking at the prospect of a backlash.

And, to follow up, I'd like to say that if one cannot distinguish between hate speech and criticism of a political position, then one is exactly the sort of person hate speech laws were designed to protect us from.
