Well, this is embarrassing... (re: Kissing Booth Surprise)

The second chapter of the Kylie X. story "Kissing Booth Surprise" should have been posted about nine years ago. If I remember correctly, that was one of many stories that Rachael had personally queued up for posting just before entering hospice care. Being a multi-part story the second chapter would need to be posted separately, by me, once the story appeared on the site.

Somehow, I neglected to do that and I didn't realize my mistake until just yesterday. I pop on once or twice a year to keep her account alive and...anyway, I looked at her incomplete/unfinished stories under all of her pen names, and I wanted to see if there was any chance of finishing some of those. She left a ton of writing behind and I don't mind looking through it from time to time. They're like old snapshots in a cardboard box.

Long story short, I realized that "Kissing Booth Surprise" was finished on her website with a second chapter, and had been available on that site for a decade. I cut and pasted that into my text editor, did my best to fix a few grammar and spelling errors, and I have today posted it to SOL. That story is now (or soon will be) complete.

Again, this ridiculous delay is entirely my fault, not hers. I apologize.

Having read the story last night and edited the second chapter this morning, I do wish she had written a third installment. I suspect that was her intention, but who can say for certain? Rachael always was a world class tease, but only because we knew she could deliver when she wanted to.

Thank you. Stay safe.

Peter

~ If anyone would like to take a shot at a third chapter, or any of her unfinished works, please do. I think she would have enjoyed that.

I have one handwritten note for this story. "They're all robots!" and that's all Rachael wanted to say in her blog note for Sex Brat.

I think she wanted to do an extensive rewrite to make some of her ideas more obvious, but simply didn't have the time or energy for a project like that. She imagined the story taking place out in the asteroid belt and the (human) workers were given families of robots. And these robots owned robots because they didn't know, or at least acknowledge the fact that they were artificial. It's very Philip K. Dick in that way, but Rachael never felt that she made that clear enough and she was probably right.

if I remember correctly, she wrote this a few years ago as part of her "Mixed Bag" experience. For 9 weeks straight Rachael wrote a new story or new chapter and posted it online every single day. She drove everyone who knew her crazy because she would not stop writing! It's making me laugh right now, but she was truly possessed. Even more than she usually was. Some of you might remember what I'm talking about and I think it just pissed everybody off. And who knows? Maybe that was her plan.
