All the stories have been revised and reposted, also two more stories have been posted. I have now reached the limit of what I can legally post due to the contract with my publisher. The full series is available via Lulu (two anthologies) and dpdotcom (seven novel length books):

In a few years time when the contract runs out I'll probably post the rest, but I can't post any more Clan Amir stories until then.
In the non-story post 'Clan Amir Background and Story Time Line' there is a complete list of all stories and they are laid out in chronological order that shows which of the full books they are from.
This series follows some of the key characters in the modern history of the country of Berant. There is a short piece on the history of the country, and more comes out in the stories. They start with the ending of the old dynasty, and the beginning of the new dynasty - three book that give four stories outlining some key aspects of the cultural ethos. The bulk of the series are about the events that shape the growth and development of a young genius who's also an empath - Gordon / Gerry Mannheim. None of the short stories show much development of his character overall, but are little snippets as the key events shape his character, so they show a lot of development as a collection.
They're are a several samples (including the poetry) posted at SOL. The collections are - - book 2, 3, 4, and 5 are in the anthology titled The Falcon and the other three books are in the anthology titled The Berant - UMAMA Wars.
Granite Mannheim is part of one of three stories in the book A Fighting Heritage. Granite is a sort of prequel. The main character in the Clan Amir series is his son Gerry, and most of the books focus on him and events during his life.
A Fighting Heritage has three stories, the first has a bit of history of the country and covers the revolution and the return of the Royal Family, the second starts with Granite Mannheim's childhood and then follows on with a significant event in his life that's also a significant event for the country - actually a combat that's the end of his active military career. Granite Mannheim is kind of the lead into the character of Granite. The third story follows the military career of a young girl who is one of Gerry's heroes and role models. These other stories tell how the rebel generals and Vultures get theirs, and how he ends up becoming the next King, a slight step up from his father's position as Clan Father.
In response to some comments about how his family got him into West Point, I know nothing of the processes on entry into West Point, beyond what I've read in a few biographies on US military figures; in those the indications are that a good enough academic record, matched with a good physical condition would suffice - which is also all that's required to enter the Australian Defence Force Academy or Duntroon (our equivalents). So, rather than put my foot in my mouth by getting the fine detail wrong, I avoided the issue. Also there's a note about support from a US politician at the end.
