Morgan, Chapter 32

Posted at

Chapter 32 is up and available. If you haven't looked at Blair's story of his love for Morgan and his special abilities, might I suggest you sample it.

Perhaps about 20,000 have picked up on the story so far, with perhaps an additional 500 finding it a day. That is something I know is not a blockbuster following as many authors have but it pleases me my story is being read.

With over 36,000 downloads, it has become my second most widely read attempt at writing. Statistics on SOL have to be extrapolated and of course that's what I've done here.

As my ideas for Morgan, Blair, their parents and associates continue, I hope readers will find following their progress interesting. I assure there will be a few hard knocks, which any life, real or imagined has to endure. Of course, good times will prevail.

Additionally, please vote and comment. Suggestions are always welcome as are comments on the variety of my writing's miscalculations.

What's in an idea. An Ode to Morgan

Posted at

It was just over a month ago an idea flashed through me and Morgan was born. Or at least the first thread of an idea which I just couldn't shake from my brain dogged me until I had to start writing her story.

At first I almost put her down. Killed her or rather deleted it. You see, the reader comments I got were rather bad and well, the SOL scoring wasn't kind either.

Well, it's more serious than that. I almost stopped writing altogether. I was rather upset at the reaction to Morgan. But I've toughed it out and the comments have changed to more on the positive side and the scoring is getting slightly higher.

I'm now satisfied with the way the story is going and the twist I've put into Morgan's theme. Plus, the story has passed the 30-K mark and that pleases me. At least she's being read.

I do wish I was better at editing before I decide to post what I've written. For that I apologize. But I do review what gets posted and inevitably follow up as fast as possible. And reader's comments help with corrections and I thank all that have passed on them to me. It does help.

Thanks,

AJ.

An Apology to Morgan

Posted at

Or perhaps I should have titled this entry, my apology to readers.

It must be frustrating to even the most casual of readers of my stories with the myriad of typographical and word errors I throw at them.

I know some members here are of scholar quality and have sometimes debated my word usage. I also am aware that I stretch things a bit too. But I can't excuse my inability to put forward moderately clean text.

The spell checker I use is constantly redlining what I type and it is often fun trying to figure out how to spell even some very common words. But that doesn't help when I've typed the wrong word. I'm constantly typing 'out' when I meant to use 'our' or like I did with this mornings efforts, 'it' in place of 'if'.

I guess at midnight last night I should have waited until my mind was a little brighter and checked the chapter once again before I released it.

So, I hope this apology will suffice. I know it really isn't necessary, but I offer it anyway. It's just my way of saying, I hope you'll bear with me and forgive me.

I perhaps am less forgiving of myself than any of my readers.

"Claire" and "The Convent"

Posted at Updated:

The Convent is a story which has been sitting idle for quite a while. Claire's Book 1 had been lounging too but it was recently completed and Book 2 is well under way.

The Convent hasn't had the following that Claire has had. Over a hundred thousand downloads for Claire to just a little over thirty thousand for The Convent.

But, it's time to get "The Convent" to a logical ending. As I'm working sending out about daily chapters for Claire, every few days or so I will also continue to update "The Convent."

Oh, for those who are not familiar with my writing, please check the story codes and the story descriptions. If something stated in the story's codes might upset you, it probably will.

Sorry, I Couldn't Wait!

To all readers of my recently completed story about Claire, who have wondered why it has been re-titled, "Claire Book 1" I have to admit, I couldn't wait. I've already started Book 2.

I've finished the first chapter of the second volume and I'm editing it and a forward, both to be released later today.

I hope you like the continuing Saga about Claire.

AJ.
